JOHN HOGG With great sadness we announce the sudden passing of John Hogg at his home on October 10, 1999. John is survived by his wife of 56 years, Vera. Left to cherish his memory are sons Gary, wife Isabel, his two beloved grandchildren, Annie and Johnny of Winnipeg, Johnny of Edmonton, AB and daughter Janice Teasdale and husband Doug of Winnipeg. Also left to mourn are his two brothers, Bill of Toronto and Malcom of Whitby, ON; as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers, Hamilton and Gordon and a sister Eileen. John was born in Winnipeg on December 15, 1917. He served in the RCAF during the war, worked at Air Canada until 1956 and spent his remaining working years at C.B.C. Winnipeg, retiring in 1983. John belonged to the Royal Canadian Legion No. 4 and enjoyed spending time with his Wednesday group. His greatest joy was his family and spending his retirement years at the family cottage in Grand Marais. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held Thursday, October 14 at 10:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the C.N.I.B., 1080 Portage Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3G 3M3.
