Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryRAYMOND DE PAPE It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Albert De Pape on Monday, October 11, 1999 at St. Boniface General Hospital, at the age of 84. He will be lovingly remembered by his children, Elaine Poirier (Henri), Claudette (Peter), Jacki, Charles (louise), Michele Cherski (Brian), Maureen (Blair), and daughter-in-law Maureen; 14 grandchildren. Albert was predeceased by his wife, Cecile (1980), and son Claude (!994). Albert was born and raised in Swan lake, Manitoba, 3rd eldest of 12 children. As a young man, he left the farm to start what would become a lifelong career with United Grain Growers. He married Cecile Doyon in 1940 and through the course of their life, raised seven children while living in Mariapolis, Redvers and Winnipeg. To the end , Alberts keen mind enabled him on a daily basis, to master any crossword or word jumble he challenged. Prayers will be said on Thursday, October 14, at 7:00 p.m. in the Leatherdale Gardiner Funeral Chapel, 1501 Waverley Street. Viewing will be a half hour prior to prayers. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, October 15, at 1:00 p.m. in the Holy Cross Roman Catholic Church, 252 Dubuc Street. Active and Honorary Pallbearers will be his grandchildren. It broke our hearts to lose you But you did not go alone For part of us went with you The day God called you home. Though your smile is gone forever And your hand we cannot touch We will never lose the memory Of one we loved so much. Thanks for the loving years you gave us The happy times we shared We all pray that when you left us You knew how much we cared. Our family chain is broken And nothing seems the same but as God calls us one by one The chain will link again. Should friends so desire, donations may be made in Alberts memory to Riverview Health Centre Foundation, 1 Morley Avenue, Winnipeg, Manitoba, R3L 2P4.
