EDWARD BERNDT On Tuesday, October 12, 1999, Mr. Edward Berndt of Meadowood Manor, formerly of Whitemouth, MB went to be with his Lord and Saviour. Ed, as he was known, was born in Kosmaschew, Poland on November 15, 1907. He came to Canada on August 12, 1929 at the age of 22 and took up residence in Whitemouth, MB. He remained in Whitemouth until, because of failing health, he and his wife Olga moved to Meadowood Manor in June of 1999. He was predeceased by his parents and one sister. He leaves to mourn his wife Olga of 51 years; one stepdaughter Frieda and husband Walter; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. There are also many nieces, nephews and numerous friends. Funeral service will be held on Friday, October 15 at 2:00 p.m. at the Whiteshell Baptist Church, Seven Sisters Falls, MB with Pastor Greg Gaensler officiating. Interment will follow in the Whiteshell Baptist Cemetery. Friends may view at the church prior to the service.
