Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCASMIR HLADY It is with much sadness that the family of Casmir Hlady of Beausejour, announces his passing after a lengthy illness, on Tuesday, October 12, 1999 at the Health Sciences Centre. Casmir is survived by his son Gary (Lorraine), grandsons, Neal and Grant; daughter Janet Hlady (Ken MacKenzie) of Winnipeg, MB; Mary Hlady of Red Deer, AB; brothers, Mike (Anne) of Kelowna, BC, Steve (Stella Dubas) of Selkirk, MB, John (Marion) of Winnipeg; sisters-in-law, Ella Hlady of Glenboro, MB, Frances Hlady of Winnipeg, Vivian Hlady of Selkirk; also his nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Panko and Helen Hlady; sister Mary Draypack, brothers, Paul and Henry. Casmir was born in Thalberg, MB on November 21, 1922. He was a very hard working man. In his younger years, he spent many winters working in the bush camps. He loved working with the earth as a farmer and farmed in the Glenmoor area for 57 years. He also enjoyed the outdoors hunting and fishing. There were always many kinds of animals, exotic birds and pets on the farm. Casmir loved buying and selling things, especially cows and horses while travelling around the province. This gave him an opportunity to meet many people. For those that knew him, he will always be remembered for his smile and sense of humour. He was kind and generous and always willing to share with others. Casmirs smile and friendship will be missed by many. Prayers will be held on Thursday, October 14 at 7:00 p.m. at the Sobering Funeral Chapel, Park Ave., E., Beausejour, MB. Divine Liturgy will take place on Friday, October 15 at 10:30 a.m. at Sts. Peter and Paul Church, Thalberg, MB with Rev. Fr. John Sholdak officiating. Pallbearers will be Neal and Grant Hlady, Bernie Lefko, Wilfred Chevrefils, Lorin Bauschke, and Gordon Plischke. The family would like to thank the medical staff at the Health Sciences Centre and the Beausejour and District Hospital for all their care and compassion, also to everyone who came to visit him while he was in the hospital.
