SUSIE LOEWEN (nee BRAUN) July 21, 1909 - October 11, 1999 It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Susie Loewen on October 11, 1999. Her beloved husband David predeceased her in July of 1994. Mom leaves to mourn, her daughter Frieda (Edward) Epp, and their children Deborah (Gerald) Spitzner, Susan (Rick ) Schroeder, Cheryl (Gene) Krecsy and Edythe (Terry) Lucas; her son Karl (Linda) Loewen and their children, Matthew Loewen and Lora Loewen; great-grandchildren David and Claire Lucas, Briana Schroeder, Natasha, Justina and Stefan Krecsy and Terra and Katey Spitzner. Also left to mourn her passing are her dear sisters Melita Klassen and Helen Driedger, her sisters-in-law Anne Braun, Erica Heinrichs and Eva Loewen. Mom was predeceased by our dad David, her parents Johann and Helena Braun; sisters Tina Bock and Liese Driedger and her brothers John and Harry Braun; great-grandson Max Andreas Spitzner. The family wishes to thank the nursing staff at Grace Hospital Third Floor North, Unit 1 and Dr. Randall Strank for their tender care of our mom. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, October 15 at the First Mennonite Church, Notre Dame and Alverstone, with interment in Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. Viewing Thursday October 14, from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Klassen Funeral Chapel, 1897 Henderson Highway and at the church prior to the service. If friends so desire, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
