Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCHRISTINE MAKARA Peacefully on October 10, 1999 at the Arborg and District Health Centre, Christine Makara, aged 85 years, of Riverton, Man. Christine was born at Ramseys Point, Man. on February 5, 1914 to the late Walter and Mary Bruce. She was predeceased by her husband Alex in 1978 and a son Larry in 1999. Left to cherish her memory is three sons, Herman of Riverton, Terrance (Irma) of Peguis and Brian (Brenda) of St. Claude; two daughters, Jeanne (Rick) of Burnaby, BC and Stephany of Winnipeg; a brother Tom (Mary) of Pine Dock; 11 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Christine will always be admired for her spunk, her kind heart, her sense of humour and her great strength. The lessons she taught friends and family about life, in particular how to enjoy it, are ones that will be cherished on our own journeys through this world. She always took joy in good food, the occasional game of bingo, a nice cup of tea and a hearty laugh with her loved ones. Her legacy will not be forgotten. Funeral service will be held on Friday, October 15 at 2:00 p.m. in the Riverton Fellowship Circle with Pastor Neill von Gunten officiating. Interment in the Riverton Community Cemetery. Her pallbearers will be Terry and Derek Makara, Ian and Warren Spring and Randy and Glen Selkirk. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.
