CHRISTEL SCHULZ (nee Nachtigall) (formerly Potschka) After a courageous battle with cancer, on October 12, 1999 Christel Selma Schulz went to be with her Lord and Saviour. Christel was born on June 26, 1928 in Germany. She married Heinrich Potschka in April 1949, and immigrated to Canada in 1962. After being widowed, she married Arthur Schulz in May 1981. She is lovingly remembered by her husband Arthur; her children, Dietmar (Hannelore), Sieghardt (Penny), Heidi (Ron), Betty (Ted), Gary (Lorna), Margaret (Michael) her grandchildren, Sherry, Kristy, Jennifer, Courtney, Stephanie Lee, Andrea, Stefan, Ryan, Micaela and Stephanie Rae; brothers, Erwin (Therese), Hartmut (Helga) sisters, Irmgard (George), Gerda, Giesela (Winnie) many nieces, nephews and friends. Christel was predeceased by her first husband Heinrich Potschka, her daughter Elizabeth, her brothers Willy, Ernst, Dieter and sister Toni Nachtigall. She was a faithful follower of Jesus Christ and lived an exemplary life for family and friends. for the mountains may depart and the hills may disappear, but my kindness shall not leave you. My promise of peace for you will never be broken, says the Lord who has mercy upon you. Isaiah 54: 10 Funeral service will be held Friday, October 15, at 1:00 p.m. at McDermot Avenue Baptist Church, 821 McDermot Avenue, with interment to follow in Elmwood Cemetery. The viewing will take place Thursday, October 14, from 8:30 to 9:30 p.m. with a devotional at 8:45 p.m. at Klassen Funeral Chapel, 1897 Henderson Highway.
