Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryIRENE ANNE COOPER Born in Winnipeg January 3, 1915, daughter of Dr. William A. and Myrtle (Handford) Cooper, she was predeceased by her parents and two brothers, Alvin John and William Handford Cooper and is survived by a brother Arthur and wife Margaret; two sisters-in-law, Margaret and Ruby Cooper; a sister Dorothy (Jim) Brown and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She received a B.Sc. in Home Economics, her R.N. from Health Sciences Centre and a Masters Degree in New York. She nursed and instructed at Health Sciences Centre in Maternal and Child Care, then with World Health Organization teaching at University of Alexandria in Egypt. She returned to University of Manitoba as a professor in the Nursing Faculty. She was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma Society International, a life-long member of Young United Church, Furby and Broadway, where a memorial service will take place on Sunday, October 17 at 4:30 p.m. followed by a reception. Parking is available in the Thomson Funeral Chapels parking-lot, across from the church. Flowers are gratefully declined. Donations may be made to Young United Church or the Canadian Cancer Society.
