Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryTHOMAS WILLIAM (BILL) HUNT It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that we announce the passing of our father, grand-father, and great-grandfather, Bill Hunt, on October 12, 1999. Dad was born December 17, 1918 at Rathwell, Man. to John and Annie Hunt. On June 20, 1941, Dad, at the age of 23 years, enlisted in the Canadian Army and served with the 18th Manitoba Reconnaissance Battalion (R.C.O.C.) during the Second World War. It was during this time he met and married his beloved wife of 53 years, Mary. He was later employed by the T. Eaton Company at George Street and retired from Wellington Avenue after 38 years. Dad leaves to mourn daughters, Rosemarie (Frankie) Staub, Shirley (Sam) Hindmarsh. He will be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, Tracy, Kim, Trevor and Tara; and also two very special great-grandchildren, Keegan and Brooke. He is survived by sisters, Cecilia Robertson, Phyliss Parker; and brothers, Ted and Al; numerous nieces and nephews. Dad was predeceased by his beloved wife Mary on June 29, 1999, whom he missed with all his heart and soul. He was also predeceased by his parents, John and Annie; brother Clarence; and sister Louisa Gibbons. The family would like to thank all the staff at Park Manor Personal Care Home for making Dads time there very special. Also to Dr. Alvi and the staff of Concordia Hospital for their care and compassion. A very special thank you to Mark Scott of Palliative Care for the many hours he spent with Dad. In keeping with Dads wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 16 at 11:00 a.m. in the Leatherdale Gardiner Funeral Chapel, 1501 Waverley St. Interment of Dad and Mom will follow at Waverley Memorial Gardens, 1501 Waverley St. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice. It broke our hearts to lose you But you did not go alone For part of us went with you The day God called you home. Though your smile is gone forever And your hand we cannot touch We will never lose the memory Of one we loved so much. Forever in our hearts and memories. Give Mom a hug and kiss and tell her we love and miss her. LEATHERDALE GARDINER 1501 Waverley Street 949-4860
