SOLEDAD SALLY CALVO Peacefully, with family at her side on Thursday, October 14, at the Charleswood Care Center, our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother completed her life on this earth and was reunited with her beloved husband, Pedro. Soledad was born in Rovabo, Spain on May 8, 1914. She spent time in France working in the vineyards before coming to Canada in 1934. Her and Pedro were married at Holy Cross Church on December 29, 1935, enjoying 46 beautiful years together. Moms greatest joy was her family. She devoted her life to providing a warm and loving home. She instilled in her children a sense of spirituality, kindness, patience and humour. She also enjoyed family outings to Grand Beach and stopping to pick blueberries on the way home. She was a life long parishioner of Holy Cross and St. Thomas More Churches. Soledad was predeceased by her husband Pedro on November 4, 1982 and her sister Natividad Calvo on November 25, 1996, in Spain. Mom will forever be missed and lovingly remembered by her children; Johnny (Judy), Remedios Fernandez (Avelino), Raymond (Pat) and Albert( Melody) 14 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews here, in California and in Spain. Special thank you to the Doctors, nurses and caregivers of the Charleswood Care Center for the loving care given to Mom (Sally).
