Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGENE HEBRON STEVENSON Peacefully on Thursday, October 14, 1999 at 7:45 a.m. Gene Hebron Stevenson (White Turtle Chief Man) entered into eternal rest and serenity. At his side was his beloved wife of 38 years, Violet Stevenson and his main care giver, his daughter Mary May (Dave) Sinclair. Gene was a devoted husband, father, uncle, grandfather, brother and brother-in-law, also a good friend to all who knew him. Gene leaves to mourn his children Gerald (Kitty), Louise (Brent), Gene Jr. (Belinda) his ten grandchildren and his two great grandchildren who he loved very much; his brothers Ken (Judy) Stevenson and Richard (Mildred) Stevenson of Peguis; his sisters Josephine Bear, Fern Stevenson, Dora (Bethuel) Stevenson, Dorothy Stanger, Della Sinclair, Elsie (George) Pursey and Rose (Bruce) Bradley. The family would like to thank the staff at the P.E. Moore Hospital, especially his doctor whom he adored (Dr. Engelbrecht) for her loving and devoted care shown to him during his illness. To all those who came and prayed and sang hymns at the hospital, megwetch for your kindness. Peguis Chief and Council, Peguis Gaming Commission, and to all who helped in any way, megwetch and God Bless you all. A wake service will be held on Sunday, October 17 at 7;00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, October 18 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Wesley Barrett, Barry Bear and Pat Ferris officiating. All services will be held at the St. Matthews Anglican Church. Interment will follow at the St. Matthews Anglican Cemetery, Peguis, Manitoba.
