HARRY AARON (TED) GREENBERG We sadly announce the passing of Harry Aaron (Ted) Greenberg on October 4, 1999. Ted leaves to mourn his beloved wife Winnie and two children, Louis Greenberg (Alana), Carla Greenberg and granddaughter Chanel. He is survived by his brothers, Benny (Violet), Sidney (Lucy), Irvin (Gilda), and sisters, Sylvia Grant (Reg) and Rita Hoffer. Ted was predeceased by his mother and father, Freda and Charles Greenberg and by his brothers, Morris, Sam and Norman. Ted was born in 1912 in St. Paul, Minnesota. Shortly thereafter, the family moved to Gimli, Manitoba where he grew up. Ted studied engineering at the University of Manitoba, but interrupted his studies to join the airforce, was stationed overseas and became a radar officer. After the war, he worked in the family fish and trucking businesses before moving to Winnipeg and joining Canadian Fish Producers, Fish Marketing Board and Northland Fish. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, October 6, 1999 at the Bnai Abraham Cemetery. Services were officiated by Rabbi Allan Green. Pallbearers were Irvin Greenberg, Dr. Marshall Hoffer, Glen Greenberg, Louis Greenberg, Aubrey Greenberg and Steve Shultz. The family gratefully acknowledges the kindness and compassion shown by Homecare and the staff of both the Deer Lodge Hospital Outpatients and the Seven Oaks Hospital, Ward 5U1.
