FLORENCE MARION WILDFANG Peacefully on October 15, 1999, with her family by her side, Marion Wildfang passed away at the Park Manor Personal Care Home. Marion was predeceased by her beloved husband John in 1958; her sister Ethel Matthews and brother Lloyd Edwards. Left to celebrate her life are her sister Anna Hyde and husband Gerry, her children, Marge and Willie Eros, Edie and Gunnar Person, Barb and Jim Lamoureux; 11 grandchildren and their families, including 15 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Marion was born in Barnsley, Manitoba and lived in the Elm Creek/Carman area until she moved to Transcona in 1958. Many people will remember Marion from her 22 years of dedicated work as Dr. B.J. Egans medical secretary. She was a member of the Transcona Memorial United Church and the Transcona Legion Ladies Auxiliary. Marion shared her love of life through her many volunteer activities. She had a passion for travel which took her to many places around the world. Grandma will be remembered as the common thread in the fabric of our family. The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to Juen Ritzer and to Park Manor Personal Care Home for their care and compassion. Visitation will be held Sunday evening October 17 from 7:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the Transcona Funeral Chapel, 1800 Day Street. Funeral service to follow on Monday, October 18 at 10:00 a.m. at the Transcona Memorial United Church, 209 Yale Avenue West with Rev. Jeff Cook officiating. Interment at Greenwood Cemetery, Carman, Manitoba. Transcona Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements.
