Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOHN DEREK THEODORE SEDLACEK Derek aged 35 years joined hands with his beloved wife Patricia (Pat) on September 18, 1999 to be with their heavenly father. Derek leaves to mourn three young children Ashley, Zachary and Sean; his parents John and Doris of Okotoks, AB; brother Mark (Michelle) and their children Nicole, Nathan, Nerissa and Natalie; brother Timothy (Jolene) and their children Ethan and Megan, all of Edmonton, AB; Grandma Sarah Dyck of Winnipeg; mother-in-law Teina Warkentin, and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Derek was predeceased by his younger brother Drew in August, 1979 and his Grandpa Peter Dyck in March, 1986. Derek was a devoted husband and father. He was involved in the Manitoba Flyfishing Association as their Conservation Chairman, Wisemans Club and was very active in the Assiniboine Pentecostal Church. Derek owned and operated his own business JDS Electronics. He was a member of the Kidney Foundation support group. Urnbearer will be Harry Hillier and honourary pallbearers are Peter Valde, Russ Gillies, John Dyck, John Perry and Peter Thompson. Donations in Dereks memory may be made to the Sedlacek Family Educational Fund by cheque through the C.I.B.C., 739 Henderson Hwy., Winnipeg, MB, R2K 2K5, Account # 1721836. The family would like to express their sincere thanks for all of the help from family and friends over the last few weeks. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 19 at 1:00 p.m. at Waves of Glory Full Gospel Chapel, 364 Furby St. with Pastor Mark Tombs officiating. Interment Green Acres Memorial Gardens.
