JONI DAMAN Peacefully, with her family by her side Joni ended her long and courageous battle with cancer. Joni will be lovingly remembered by her son Michael and husband Trevor; parents Kay and Vernon Bittner; brother Kerry his wife Sandy and children Kurt, Clay (Stacey), Krista (Craig), brothers and sisters in-law Allan and friend Karen, daughters Michelle and Lisa, Barrie and Cathy, daughter Katelyn, Gayle and Warren, sons John and Jeff, Donna, daughter Victoria, Laurel and Ian, Lana and Lawrie, and her beloved pet Cody. Jonis love for her family and friends helped her fight hard to the very end. She was able to fulfill a family dream of taking Michael to Disney World and to make a couple of trips to the family cabin at Long Lake where she enjoyed fishing and the beauty of nature with her family. Jonis strength and determination were evident as she spent hours tending the flower gardens she so dearly loved. They will provide comfort to her family for years to come. The family would like to thank the staff at the Manitoba Cancer Clinic and the Riverview Palliative Care Ward and a special thank-you for the friendship of Myrna from the VON. The gardens in heaven became more beautiful today. Funeral Services will be held at St. Bernadette Church, 820 Cottonwood Road at 2:00 p.m. October 19th.
