SUSANNA LEPPKY KLIPPENSTEIN Psalm 139:9-10(NIV) If I rise on the winds of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast. Mothers life, Mothers belief centred around this concept. We are never alone. God is real and is present during good times, bad times, busy times, lonely times. On October 15, 1999, near midnight, Mother was freed from her earthly existence, and was peacefully called home to meet her creator and her saviour Jesus Christ. Mother was born on December 30, 1901, the second of ten children of Peter and Katharina Leppky. She was baptised and accepted into the membership of the Chortizer Mennonite Church where she remained a faithful member for the rest of her life. On November 1, 1923 she married David G. Klippenstein, and together they farmed in the Randolph area until 1969 when they moved to Mitchell. In 1990 they sold the house in Mitchell and moved to an apartment in Niverville until 1995 when it became time to move the Bethesda Personal Care Home in Steinbach, Manitoba. One daughter and six sons blessed this union, and the marriage lasted 73 years, five months and three days, until Fathers death on April 4, 1997. Mother was also predeceased by her parents, all her brothers and sisters, as well as by her son-in-law John L. Toews, a granddaughter-in-law, and one great-granddaughter in infancy. She is survived by daughter Susie, her sons and their spouses, Leonard and Nettie, Edward and Anna, Edwin and Maria, Peter and Nettie, Henry and Alma, John and Shirley; and a daughter-in-law Violet, and a total of 54 grandchildren, 61 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren, including the spouses of the married grandchildren and great-grandchidren. We, the family would like to thank the personnel at the Bethesda Personal Care Home in Steinbach for the care given to our mother during the four years she needed to live there. The family. A Celebration of her life will be held on Tuesday, October 19, 2:00 p.m at the Word of Life Mission Church in Niverville, with interment to follow in the Niverville Cemetery. Friends may pay their last respects at Loewen Funeral Chapel on October 18, 7:00-8:00 p.m. and at the Church prior to the service. Arrangements entrusted to Loewen Funeral Chapel, Steinbach.
