MARY BURDENY May 2, 1912 - October 18, 1999 Peacefully on Monday, October 18, 1999 at the Maples Personal Care Home, Winnipeg, Mary passed away at the age of 87 years. She is survived by her son Donald and his wife Margaret; daughter Sonia and her husband Earl; daughter Elizabeth and her husband Joseph. There are eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Michael in 1983 and a granddaughter Debbie. Mary was born and raised in Ethelbert where she spent most of her life. She and Mike retired to Winnipeg after having lived in Kenora, ON for eight years. Together, they came through the early years with a dedication to hard work, combined with ingenuity and resourcefulness that carried her through the later years. One of her greatest loves was her garden. The family wishes to thank Dr. Braun and the dedicated caregivers at the Maples Personal Care Home for their kindness over the past four years. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 21 at 7:00 p.m. at the Maples Personal Care Home. If friends so desire, donations in her memory may be made to The Maples Personal Care Home or to a charity of your choice.
