JOHN MARLOW On October 16, 1999, John Marlow passed away at Brandon Regional Health Centre at age 71. John was born in Fort QuAppelle, SK on September 2, 1928 to Albert and Dorothy Marlow. John grew up around Poplar Point, MB area where his parents moved to farm. He later moved to Stonewall, MB in 1949. In 1957, he then moved to live in The Pas, MB where he did construction work and later went on to have a very successful farming operation. It was in The Pas he met his wife, Sharon Watts, and they were later married on March 25, 1967. Together, they had two children, a son Scott and daughter Sheila. In 1980, John and his family relocated north of Brandon on a small farm. John had many interests, which included hunting, fishing, baseball, hockey and other sports, going to auction sales and enjoying a cup of coffee with the guys at the Husky. John especially enjoyed the harvest season and combining. Over the past months, his greatest pleasures came from being with his grandson. His wife Sharon; father and mother, predeceased John. He will be sadly missed by his son Scott (Leanne and Braeden), daughter Sheila; sister Evelyn and brother Lyn and family. Other relatives and friends will also miss him. The family wishes to extend their appreciation to family and friends for their support. An extra special thanks to the staff at Brandon Regional Health Centre for their kindness and support during Johns illness over the past year. A graveside service will be held at Rosewood Memorial Gardens, Hwy. 1A west of Brandon, on Saturday, October 23 at 2:30 p.m. A time of fellowship will follow immediately afterwards at Prairie Oasis. Flowers are gratefully declined. As a token of sympathy, donations in memory of John may be made to BRHC (400 ward) 150 McTavish Ave., E., Brandon, R7A 2B3 or the Heart & Stroke Foundation, 203-42 McTavish Ave., E., Brandon, R7A 2B2.
