Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryRAYMOND CHARLES SENEZ Raymond (Ray) Senez passed away peacefully at the Health Sciences Centre with his family at his side on October 17, 1999, after a brief illness. Ray was born on December 14, 1929, in St. Boniface, MB, where he grew up and attended Provencher School. He worked for the T. Eaton Company for 21 years while teaching night classes at Tech Voc high school. He spent the remainder of his working career with Camco, retiring as Western Region Service Manager in 1991. Rays family was his life. He deeply loved his darling wife Julie, and would have celebrated 48 years of marriage on November 3, 1999. Ray was predeceased by his father Charles, mother Jeanne; and his two sisters, Camille and Marcelle. He was a devoted, loving, generous, and encouraging father and grandfather, who will be sadly missed. Celebrating his passage to new life are his daughter Gail, husband Jarold, and children, Shauna, and Kristen; his son Gary, wife Marion, and children, Richard, Jennifer, Garett, and Stephen; his son Richard, wife Monna, and children, Joseph, Anne, Catheryne, and Natalie; his son Raymond Jr., wife Leanna and children, Theresa and Michelle; and his son Edward and wife Jennifer; and his many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Ray will be most remembered for his devotion to his faith and the great influence he had on the spiritual lives of his family and friends. He worked generously within the parishes of St. Adolphe, St. Timothys, and the spiritual community at West Hawk Lake. He led the RCIA and OCIA programs, introducing many to the Catholic faith. Ray was committed to his own spiritual development and completed three years of religious study through the Nathaneal process and then went on to complete Deaconate training. Ray also leaves behind his abundant friends, who frequently visited their home and cottage throughout the years. Those in the Nathaneal process were especially dear to Ray and Julie, and a tremendous influence and support. His cherished friends at Royal Lake were like his second family. The lake, their cottage, and his boat were among the many pleasures he enjoyed. He was the captain of our ship, showing us the way to live: A balanced life of love, faith, commitment to task, and tireless giving. Our family thanks all the care givers in the intensive care units of both the Victoria General Hospital and the Health Sciences Centre, who tried so valiantly to save him. Prayers of Thanksgiving will be said at St. Timothys Parish, 135 John Forsyth Rd., Winnipeg, MB on Thursday, October 21 at 8:30 p.m. The mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at St. Timothys on Friday, October 22, at 10:30 a.m. with Fr. Paul Campeau presiding. Interment will follow at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd., Winnipeg, MB. A gathering of family and friends will follow at Christ the King Parish Hall, 847 St. Marys Rd., Winnipeg, MB. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Manitoba Cancer Treatment and Research Foundation, or the charity of your choice. Yes, God so loved the world that He gave his only Son, that whoever believes in Him may not die but may have eternal life. LECLAIRE BROTHERS in care of arrangements; 775-2220.
