Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryZENOVIA MOROZ Peacefully on Sunday, October 17, 1999 at the Holy Family Nursing Home, Zenovia Moroz passed away at the age of 97 years. Zenovia was born July 20, 1902 in Austria, Western Ukraine, to Toder and Anastasia Petreschuck in the village of Okna povit Zastayna Oblast, Chernivtse, in Ukraine. She married Fred Stasesen on February 24, 1924, and together they came to Canada in 1928 to work on a farm in Saskatchewan. They later moved to Winnipeg to raise a family and, during The Depression, opened a restaurant business, where she worked very hard most of her life. She was a devoted member of St. Michaels Ukrainian Orthodox Church on Disraeli Street, and had acted as secretary for the Ukrainian Womens Association of Canada - Olka Kobylanska Branch of Winnipeg, and the Ukrainian Benefit Brotherhood of St. Michaels Church. Widowed in 1970, she married John Moroz in 1975, but was again widowed in 1978. With failing health, Zenovia was cared for by the staff of the Holy Family Nursing Home during the past five years. A special thank you to the St. Johns ward for all their kindness and attention. Left to mourn are sons, John (Elenor) Station of Calgary, Nick Station of Winnipeg; four grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 21 at 10:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Interment will follow in Glen Eden Memorial Gardens.
