(LOTTIE) DONNA EALING (nee LUTZ) Peacefully, surrounded by her family, (Lottie) Donna Ealing passed away on October 18, 1999. She is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Bill; daughters, Brenda (Jim) of Winnipeg, Linda and Kim (Larry) of BC and Traci (Tom) of Thompson; her son Jim (Laura) of Winnipeg. Left to cherish her memory are seven grandchildren, Christopher and Collin Nault, Leslie Ealing, Fraser, Signe, Haley and Cassandra Ealing. She is also survived by her sisters, Hazel Nabbs and Lillian Schneiders (Thunder Bay), Helen Thomas and Shirley Burling (Winnipeg) and Junette Taylor (BC). She leaves one brother Robert Lutz (Winnipeg). She was predeceased by her parents, Adolf and Emilige Lutz; sisters, Blondine (Bunny) Woods, Herta Devodder; and brother Walter Lutz. Donna was born on May 14, 1934 in St. James, MB. She moved at a young age to 705 St. Annes Rd. where her father and brother owned and operated Walts service station. She was married to her husband, William (Bill) Ealing, in St. Marks Anglican Church on October 28, 1950. They resided in St. Vital, Winnipeg until moving to Thompson, MB in 1976. Donna taught herself to play the keyboard and became a very accomplished musician. She loved to entertain people and volunteered her time to play for Seniors Club. She was heard playing her lively Christmas Carols while the shoppers went about their Christmas activities at the Thompson Shopping Plaza. She worked at the Thompson Y.W.C.A. Thrift Store for nine years where she made many friends. Donna and Bill retired to Belair, MB 1993 where they lived until they returned to Winnipeg in May of 1999. Her wonderful sense of humour and love of life endeared her to everyone who knew her. Donna will be sadly missed by many friends, relatives and people whos lives she touched. The family wishes to express sincere heartfelt thanks to the Winnipeg Ambulance Services and the staff at the St. Boniface General Hospital MICU/CCU for their care. Graveside service will be held on Friday, October 22 at 2:00 p.m. in the St. Vital Cemetery, 236 River Rd. Reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations in Donnas memory may be made to the Childrens Wish Foundation of Canada, 350 St. Marys Ave. Winnipeg, Manitoba R3C 3J2. P. COUTU & CO.
