Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryNELLIE DONALDA ISABEY (nee WATSON) Born in Carlyle, Sask. on September 22, 1933, Donalda passed away suddenly on October 14, 1999. She was predeceased by her parents, Lawrey and Mae Watson. Donalda or Donnie, as her friends called her, received her education in Hartney. She met and married John Darcisse Isabey on July 9, 1959 and were blessed with two children, Larry and Bev. Donnie participated in many areas in the community. She was a member of the Girl Guides, Youth group, Rifle Club and she coached softball. While a member of the United Church, she taught Sunday School and Mission Band. Donnie held many positions with various organizations which she was active with. She was involved with the Ladies Curling Club, Royal Purple Lodge, Red Cross Association, Ladies Auxiliary of the Royal Canadian Legion and the Hospital Aide. She was involved in town civic duties as a Town Councillor and was Deputy Mayor under Mayor Reg Atkinson. Following the wishes of her late father, T.S. Watson who served in the Second World War, Donnie, with the help of the late J.B. Thomas and Mrs. W.F. Morrison, compiled a Legion Book for the Hartney and District Veterans of the Second World War. Donnie was also active in the helping of the Hartney Centennial Book in 1982 "A Century of Living". Donnie had many passions in life: sports, music, piano, camping, gardening, reading, crocheting, games of chance, but most of all, her family and friends. Left to mourn her passing is her husband John of forty years; son Larry and wife Joyce, grandchildren, Paige, Brooke and Blake of Hartney; daughter Bev of Winnipeg; her sister Ruth and husband Jack Hutton of Abbotsford, BC; Aunt Annie Campbell of Carlyle, Sask.; brother-in-law Jack and wife Cloris of Hartney; sister-in-law Marguerite and husband Rolly Hennessey of Coquitlam, BC; sister-in-law Marie and husband Fern Beaudry of Belwood, Ont.; godchildren Kevin Hennessey of Port Coquitlam, BC and Jeannette Edwards of Winnipeg; cousins, nieces and nephews. Also left to mourn are her many friends. Funeral services were held from St. Jeans Church at Grande Clairiere on Monday, October 18. Interment in Grande Clairiere Cemetery.
