Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySHIRLEY JUNE COX (nee WONG) It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dearly beloved Shirley Cox on Wednesday, October 20, 1999 with her family at her side. Shirley was born in Thunder Bay in 1940. As a young adult she moved to Winnipeg where she met and married Brian Cox, a member of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, a marriage that lasted over 36 years. A beautiful person, inside and out, Shirley was intelligent and witty. She possessed an eminent inner strength that she often shared with others by subtle actions, facial expressions and words. She was predeceased by her parents, Frank and Jean Wong. Shirley will be lovingly remembered by her husband Brian; their daughter Erin; her sisters, Margaret Daher and Lorna Gallagher; her brother Stanley Wong; her brother-in-law Pat Gallagher and her niece and nephews, Susan and Ryan Gallagher and Michael Daher. Our family expresses our sincere gratitude to the H.S.C. Lung Transplant Unit for their support and the nurses and doctors on Ward 6-H who tried to make her last days as comfortable as possible. In lieu of flowers, donations in Shirleys memory may be made to the Manitoba Lung Association, 629 McDermot Ave., Wpg, MB R3A 1P6. As per Shirleys request, cremation will take place and no service will be held. Shirleys family has entrusted her arrangements to: WOJCIKS FUNERAL CHAPEL & CREMATORIUM 897-4665
