PATRICK HOWLAND It is with deep regret and sadness that we announce the death of Patrick Howland on Thursday, October 21, 1999, age 29 years, at Seven Oaks Hospital, Winnipeg. Pat will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his parents, Mick (Ulla) Howland and Lynn (David) Breese; sister Carol Watson; grandmothers Azoria Wilkes, Betty Howland and Vera Sheehan. Patrick predeceased by his birth mother Karen Wilkes. Pat was born in Thompson, Mb. He received his public school education in BC; attended G.P. Vanier Secondary School, Courtenay; graduated from Redvers High School, SK; and then attended the University of Regina. Playing pool was Pats passion with 8-ball being his specialty. For two years in a row Pats team won the right to represent the City of Winnipeg at the World 8-Ball Championship in Las Vegas. Pat explored a variety of employment opportunities, the most recent being Palliser Furniture. The family extends heartfelt appreciation to the Emergency and ICU staff at Seven Oaks Hospital, the ICU staff at the Hennepin County Medical Centre, Minneapolis, Minn.; the Life Flight air crew; and Winnipeg City Police. Visitation will take place on Friday, October 22 from 7:00-9:00 pm in the Leatherdale Gardiner Funeral Chapel, 1858 Portage Avenue. Funeral service will take place on Saturday, October 23 at 2:00 p.m. also in the chapel. Cremation will follow.
