FRANCES ELIZABETH JACKSON 1909 - 1999 Peacefully on Monday, October 18, 1999 at the Grace Hospital, with her loving family at her side, Frances Jackson passed away at the age of 89 years. Frances was born on October 20, 1909 in Winnipeg, MB. She leaves to remember her abiding faith and love, her daughter Ruth Steeves and husband Ron of Calgary, daughter Carol Throp of Winnipeg, son Gary Jackson and wife Carolyne of Winnipeg; her grandchildren, Kevin and Keith Johnson, Arlene Jackson, Brent Jackson and wife Penny, Elizabeth Throp, Trevor Throp and wife Lisa and great-granddaughter Samantha Frances Throp. Also sisters, Lucy Haggett, Dora (Hebe) Cunningham and Joyce Doepker. She was predeceased by her loving husband Arthur on January 4, 1991. Frances was devoted to her home and family and her greatest joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren of whom she was very proud. Frances was an active member of the Anglican Church all her life. Her early years were spent in the Parishes of St. Chrysostom, St. Martin in the Field and in 1940, the family moved to the Parish of St. James. Here she continued to give devoted service as a member of the church choir and the Guild of Health. Music played a big part in her life. As well as choral singing, she was an accomplished pianist and accompanist. For many years, she volunteered her time to play for the veterans at Deer Lodge Hospital. She enjoyed many hours at her Lowrey organ giving pleasure to her children, grandchildren and friends. Frances will be remembered for her good sense of humour, loving nature and gentle spirit. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend. We loved her dearly and will always miss her. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 26 at St. James Anglican Church, 195 Collegiate St., Rev. Canon John Caird officiating. Interment to follow at St. James Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Brent Jackson, Kevin Johnson, Trevor Throp, Ron Steeves, Robin Arnold and Gary Jackson. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Frances may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 301 - 352 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB. NEIL BARDAL INC. 949-2200
