GREGOR MACDONALD 1913 - 1999 After a prolonged illness, Duncan Gregor Macdonald passed away on his 86th birthday, October 22, 1999 at Deer Lodge Centre. Greg was predeceased by his beloved wife of 61 years, Ida, in 1995; and son Bill (Marie) in 1990. Left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Donna McRae of Winnipeg and Jean (Ross) Brownlee of Brandon; son Greg (Heather) of Surrey, B.C.; grandchildren, Linda-Ann Madill, Debbie Sharp, Susan Macdonald, Wendy Lintunen, Juli and Leigh Brownlee; seven great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his brothers, Alistair (Ruth) of Winnipeg and Malcolm (Bernice) of Surrey, B.C. Greg was born in Winnipeg where he grew up and resided most of his life. He was employed in the Grain Trade for 60 years, retiring as a respected Independent Broker at The Winnipeg Commodity Exchange. Greg was an avid sportsman, enjoying many sports. He formed many long lasting friendships in the curling and golf worlds as a member of Granite Curling Club, St. Boniface and Niakwa Golf Courses. Cremation has taken place in accordance with Gregs wishes. A celebration of Gregs life will be held at Deer Lodge Centre Chapel on Tuesday, October 26 at 3:00 p.m., to be followed by a reception in the Solarium. We, the family, would like to thank all the staff, especially 4E, at Deer Lodge Centre, who cared so kindly for Dad, over these past three years.
