MARY RICHARDS After a lengthy illness, our beloved Mom passed away peacefully on Friday, October 22, 1999 at the Concordia Hospital at the age of 86 years. Mary was predeceased by John, her husband of 43 years in 1984 and her brother Dave Cornell. Mom will be sorely missed and her memory lovingly cherished by daughter Linda Fox and son-in-law Cliff, and grandchildren Jennifer and David; her son John Richards and daughter-in-law Lynne and grandchildren Robert (Carole), Deborah, David (fiancee Joanna) and James; also two great-grandchildren, Jesse and Emilie. Mary is also survived by life-long friend Anne Baydack; sister-in-law Gladys Reichert as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Mary was an extremely loving and devoted parent, grandmother and friend who deeply touched all those who were fortunate enough to know and love her. The numerous special times shared at the family cottage will always be treasured. Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 25 at 10:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street, with interment to follow in Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. The family would like to thank the staff at Concordia Hospital, 3rd floor North East Wing for their compassion and care and also to the wonderful staff and residents at Donwood Manor where Mom made her home during the past year; and to all the nurses and homecare workers who cared for her over the past several years. A special thank you to Dr. Wm. Mulligan who saw her through two emergency surgeries and saved her life through his dedication and skill ten years ago; and to those special people who continued to remember her with cards, flowers, phone calls and visits when her health deteriorated. Flowers are gratefully declined. If friends so wish, donations in Marys memory may be made to the charity of your choice. "May we draw strength from your courage. Sleep peacefully, dear Mama and may you have the eternal rest you so richly deserve." Cropo Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements, 586-8044.

Hi Grandma, I think about you often and miss you .I like to think you'd be proud of where I ended up. You were so influential in my life as a boy and I really feel like you exemplified the unconditional love of Christ. I know I'll see you again one day! - Posted by: Dave Fox (grandson) on: Apr 09, 2015
