Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryOLIVE R. MILLAR Peacefully, on October 23, 1999 at the age of 74, Olive passed on. Olive was born and resided in Winnipeg. She taught school for a while before becoming employed by Manitoba Telephone System where she remained until retirement. Active in many groups over the years, and always willing to help, she was also a life member of the Telephone Pioneers where she was Editor of the Action Pioneer. She was a Girl Guide Leader and latterly a member of the Trefoil Guild. Olive was a dedicated member of the Grace Kildonan Baptist Church where she had been Secretary of the Womens Society. She continued her involvement with Cornerstone Baptist Church after the two congregations merged. Olive was a multi-talented person whose interests and accomplishments included photography, journalism, wood working, calligraphy, ceramics, needlework, and her love of animals, especially cats. She leaves to mourn her passing her brother George (Shirley) nieces and nephews, Mary (Kelly), Stanley, Virginia (Ray), Harold, Tracy (Robert) and Melanie (Barry) and many cousins, great-nieces and nephews. She also leaves her lifelong friend Mary Dent (Auntie Mary). Funeral services to be held at Cornerstone Baptist Church, 505 Oakview Ave., Wednesday, October 27, 1999 at 2:00 p.m. Interment at Kildonan Presbyterian Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Cornerstone Baptist Church Memorial Fund, 505 Oakview, Winnipeg, MB R2K 0S8; The Manitoba Lung Association, 629 McDermot Ave, Winnipeg, MB R3A 1P6; or a charity of your choice.
