Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOHNNY MARTIN PESTO Peacefully at his residence on Saturday, October 23, 1999 Johnny Martin Pesto beloved husband of Abella passed away. Johnny was born on December 26, 1916 in Esterhazy, SK. Johnny was predeceased by his parents, Johnny and Katherine of Esterhazy, SK. Besides his wife Abella, he is also survived by his son John (Lois) and grandchildren, Loreen, Scott and Michael of Winnipeg; and one sister Joan Maber of Saskatoon. Also left behind are Johnnys mother-in-law Lucena; sister-in-law Tita and an adopted daughter Arv Jane of the Philippines and numerous other relatives and friends. Johnny worked for many years at M.T.S. and was a member of The Telephone Pioneers. In his retirement years Johnny enjoyed travelling to Hawaii and the Philippines. He also spent his time baking, which he enjoyed sharing with everyone. Viewing will take place on Wednesday, October 27 from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. at Knysh Funeral Chapel, 1020 Main St. with prayers at 8:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, October 28 at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, 510 River Ave. Fr. G. Killen officiating. Cremation to follow the service. A special thank you to Dr. Malabanan and staff as well as the Doctors and Nurses at the Health Sciences Centre.
