MIKE SAHAIDAK On October 22, 1999 at the Johnson Memorial Hospital, Gimli, Mike Sahaidak, aged 78 years of Fraserwood, Man. He leaves to mourn his loving wife of 55 years, Olga; three sons, Ted (Rose), John (Edith) and Michael (Hannah) two daughters Charlotte (Brian) Tremblay and Debbi (Dave) Shine; 11 grandchildren, Melody, Darryl, Shelley, Dale, Mike, Daniel, Steven, Jeffery, Joseph, Russell and Martha; eight great-grandchildren, Joshua, Matthew, Dylan, Kael, Andrea, Kadriana, Shane Tyler, and Brianna; and sisters, Mary, Frances and Stella. Mike was born in Fraserwood on September 16, 1921 and had lived there all his life. He had worked for Manitoba Highways for 33 years (mainly with snow plowing and asphalt plant operator) and had also done some carpentry. Prayers will be said on Tuesday (tonight) at 7:00 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel in Gimli. Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, October 27 at 10:30 a.m. in the St. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church, Fraserwood with Deacon Peter Chorney officiating. Interment in the Fraserwood Cemetery. His pallbearers will be sons, Ted, John and Michael and grandsons, Darryl, Dale and Daniel. Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Gimli, in care of arrangements.
