LEONARD SNOWBALL Peacefully on October 22, 1999 at the Johnson Memorial Hospital, Gimli, Leonard Snowball, aged 84 years, of Arnes, Manitoba, beloved husband of Philomena (Minnie). Leonard was born on September 26, 1915 in Sussex, England and as a young man was proud to service his country for seven years while in the army during the Second World War. He immigrated to Winnipeg in 1956 where he met his love Philomena in 1961. They were married on September 28, 1962 and iln 1974 they moved to Arnes, Manitoba for a more peaceful country life. These proved to be the happiest of years. Leonard loved the peace and tranquility as he went for his many long walks down the country lanes. He leaves to mourn his wife of 37 years, Philomena, his step-son John, brother-in-law Emil and numerous nieces and nephews. A Memorial Mass will be held on Thursday, October 28 at 11:00 a.m. in the St. Benedicts Roman Catholic Church, Camp Morton with Fr. J. Cabral officiating assisted by Deacon R. Sutton. Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Gimli in care of arrangements.
