Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHANS J. DRIESCHNER It is with regret that we announce the untimely death of Hans J. Drieschner on October 24, 1999 at the Victoria General Hospital. His memory will be cherished by his wife Anne and his adoptive family; son Lothar Richter (Christine) in Germany; daughter Ruth Shields (Jack Lewis) in Winnipeg; grandchildren, Thomas, Kristen in Germany and Tracey, Cory in Winnipeg; great-grandchildren, Tanya, Marcus, Cristiana in Germany, Kayden, Nicholas and Hunter in Winnipeg; sister Marga; brother Werner and nephew Mark in Winnipeg and sister Magda and family in Germany. Hans was born and raised in Germany and settled in Winnipeg in the early 1950s. Latterly, Hans and Anne enjoyed their condominium at the Winnipeg Canoe Club. In the summer, Hans was an avid outdoors man who loved camping, fishing, gardening and travelling to Germany to visit family and friends. During the cold Manitoba winters he enjoyed reading, solving puzzles, playing with gadgets and the occasional trip visiting the Takushi relatives in Hawaii. He was a long time employee of Strong Scott retiring in 1984. He also enjoyed being a realtor with Royal LePage. Viewing will take place at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St., on Wednesday, October 27 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 28, at 7:00 p.m. in the chapel of Glen Eden Funeral Home.
