Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySAMUEL (SAM) GEORGE BEARDY May 21, 1945 - October 23, 1999 Suddenly on Saturday, October 23, 1999, at the Seven Oaks Centre, Winnipeg, MB, Sam left with a blessed hope in mind. Samuel was born in Lake St. Martin, MB. He liked going to church and supporting local and surrounding ministries. Sam especially liked attending revival meetings in Winnipeg and summer camp meetings. Sam was known best for his cheerfulness and saying things to make you laugh. He had many good hobbies, including making crafts, and most of all his cooking. Sam learned his cooking skills entirely from his mom Harriet, whom he talked about all the time. Sam went on to develop those skills into a lifetime occupation as Chef. Still, his cooking meant more to him because he took great care in how he prepared his menus. Sams special dedication led him to work for public companies and organizations for many years, such as the Canadian Pacific Railways, Canadian National Railways, and The Salvation Army Booth Center, Core Area, in Winnipeg. In more ways than we can remember, Sam cared for those in need. When friends needed a best man for their wedding, Sam was there to stand for them. Sam had a special way of encouraging us and those around him. Sam will be sadly missed by many, most of all his brothers, Thomas (Rosie) Beardy of Lake St. Martin, Dennis Beardy of Winnipeg, Victor (Angela) Beardy of Winnipeg, special brother George (Lydia) Beardy of Lake St. Martin, half-brother John Charles Beardy of Winnipeg; half-sister Christina Beardy of Winnipeg; special cousins, Margaret Sinclair and Pauline Traverse; special nieces, Kathleen Beardy (my baby), Shayna (Sha-Nee) and many other nieces and nephews. Sam was predeceased by his dad Charles (1981) and mom Harriet (1989) special nephew Mervin Ryle (1991) sisters, Priscilla (1969) and Kathleen (1994) brothers, Joseph (1981) and Douglas (1974). The family would like to express their sincere thanks and appreciation to Lorraine Marsden for all her assistance and support to Sam over the past few months. Wake service will be held on Wednesday, October 27 at 7:30 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 28 at 2:00 p.m. Both services will be held at the Lake St. Martin Faith Chapel, Lake St. Martin, MB.
