Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANTONIA AIELLO (nee SACCO) After a dignified battle with cancer, Antonia passed from the loving arms of her husband and six children to the extended arms of God and her parents, Cesare and Caterina Sacco, on Monday October 25, 1999. It is with immense sorrow we announce the passing of this wonderful and remarkable woman. Antonia was unselfish and generous; a very warm and loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Left with treasured memories is her husband of 54 years, Francesco and her six beloved children, Caterina, Raffaelina, Carmelo, Raffaele, Anna Maria and Gina; her sons-in law, Angelo DAmico,Vincenzo DeRosa and Kevin Keating and one daughter-in-law Francesca. Antonia leaves behind a profound legacy of love to her nine grandchildren, Carmela, Alessandro (Sandra), Franco (girlfriend Franca), Maria (Tony), Francesco ( Nella), Patrick, Daniel, her name sake, Krista Antonietta and her newest grandson Matthew Francesco. Antonia is survived by her brothers, Pietro, Angelo, Gennaro and sisters-in-law, Angela, Carmela, Maria and Pietrina and numerous nieces and nephews. Very sadly Antonia was predeceased by her brothers, Gaetano, Francesco, Antonio, Cesare and her only sister Concetta; her nephews, Francesco and Cesare and great-niece Nicole. Born in Miglierina, Catanzaro, Italia on November 5, 1926, Antonia was raised in Amato. In 1945 she married Francesco Aiello and later immigrated to Canada in 1957. Antonias greatest happiness in her life was her family. Her home was a friendly and welcoming place, she took great pride in all she did. She will always be remembered for her strength of character, generosity, compassion and care. Prayers will be said on Thursday, October 28 at 7:30 p.m. in the Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, 510 River Ave. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday, October 29 at 11:00 a.m., also in the church, with Reverend Father Sam Argenziano presiding. Entombment to follow at Assumption Chapel Mausoleum, 3990 Portage Ave. Pallbearers will be Cesare Sacco, Raffaele Sacco, Francesco Sacco, Carmela DAmico, Alessandro DAmico, Franco DAmico, Maria DeRosa-Vergata, Francesco DeRosa and honorary pallbearers, Patrick Keating and Daniel Keating. With sincere gratitude we wish to thank the wonderful doctors, nurses and nursing assistants at the St. Boniface Palliative Care Unit for their exceptional care giving and support.
