BURTON REIMER It is with great sadness that we announce the untimely passing of our beloved Burton Reimer on Saturday, October 23, 1999. Burton was born June 1982 in Winnipeg and lived there until age 5, when he moved with his family to Winnipeg Beach, where he attended elementary school. At age 12, Burton moved to the town of Austin, Manitoba, where he attended Austin Elementary and McGregor Collegiate. At the age of 16, Burton attended River East Collegiate for grade 11. For his final year of High School, Burton chose to attend Gimli High and be with his many lifelong friends. Burton was close to many people. He grew up roaming the woods with his cousin Charlie and loved nature and all it had to offer. He thrived off of being at the family cottage at Rice Lake, Ontario. He had many passions, some of which were golf, hockey, fishing, partying, dirt biking and making good friendships. He had many friends and was a great guy. He was the type of person to make a bad situation seem better. He always said the right thing and showed off his extremely loved sense of humour. It makes it easier to know he died doing one of the things he loved best, fishing. He loved to be outdoors with bare nature. In snowstorms he would be outside for hours just having fun and playing. May we all just raise our heads high and smile and accept that his soul is a part of us all now. Burton, you will be missed and the memories you left us will always be treasured. Left to mourn his passing is his mother and stepfather, Lynda and Guy Kolly; father and sister, Glenn and Jackie Reimer; great-grandmothers, Evelyn Lanigan and Mildred Garner; grandfather Issac Reimer; grandparents, Burton and Joan Garner; aunties; uncles; cousins and many good friends. A memorial service will be held in honour of Burton at the Gimli High School on Sunday, October 31, at 1:00 p.m.
