LOUISE ELIZABETH SMERCHANSKI Peacefully at West Park Manor with her daughter Grace by her side, Louise Elizabeth Smerchanski passed away on October 26, 1999. Predeceased by her husband Paul, she is survived by her three daughters, Jean (Brian) Leighton, Margaret Shepard, Grace (Sidney) Weinstein; her grandchildren, Charles Jr. and Carla Shepard, Jacob, Daniel and Matthew Weinstein; three brothers, Victor (Anne), Alexander (Norma) and Albert (Ella) and numerous nieces and nephews. Louise will be sadly missed and will always be remembered for her patience, devotion and creativity. She was born in 1913 in a log cabin near Arnes, Manitoba. She began regular employ at the age of 15. After her marriage, she and Dad lived in Malonton, Manitoba. Besides being postmistress and helping in the General Store, she divided her time between caring for the family and the farm animals. When she moved to Winnipeg and retired from the work force, she completely dedicated her life to the care of her family. We wish to thank all the staff at West Park Manor for the loving care they showed our mother as she battled with Alzheimer/Dementia. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, October 29 in Thomson Funeral Chapels, 669 Broadway with interment in the family plot at Holy Family Cemetery. Flowers gratefully declined. If friends desire, donations may be made to the charity of their choice. THOMSON FUNERAL CHAPELS 783-7211
