DORA MARGARET MARGE WIEBE Surrounded by the love of her family and all who knew her, Marge Wiebe slipped away from us on Wednesday, October 27, 1999. Marge was born in the Winkler area on March 26, 1935. After completing high school Marge went on to the Manitoba Provincial Normal School to study to be a teacher. Here she found not only a career but a husband as well. Marge and Bernie taught together for four years before going on to start family and follow careers and schooling that lead them to many cities and towns throughout Manitoba and the United States. In 1976 the family came to Winnipeg for good. Since 1977 Marge worked at The United Church Bookstore, half of those years in the capacity of Manager. Marge was known not only as a manager but as a friend, confident, and as caring and loving mother-figure for all who worked with her. Marge also gave generously of her time and talents at the Fort Garry Mennonite Fellowship where she was a member for many years. Marges life centered around her family; cooking great feasts and knitting beautiful clothing for children and grandchildren. Marges smile, love of life and wide-open arms will be forever missed by Bernie, her loving husband of 43 years; daughter Gayle (Nabil) Oudeh; son Greg (Karen) son Grant (Janice) and her adored grandchildren, Ameena, Branden and Nadeem. Marge was predeceased by her parents Cornelius and Annie, and by her son Glen. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, October 30, at 10:00 a.m. at Bethel Mennonite Church, Carter and Stafford, in Winnipeg. Our family thanks all those doctors, nurses, caregivers, friends and family who have been a constant source of strength during our difficult days. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Marge and Bernie Wiebe Scholarship at Menno Simons College; 380 Spruce Street, Winnipeg, Manitoba, R3B 2E9. Arrangements entrusted to Klassen Funeral Chapel, 338-0331.
