His memory will be cherished by his daughter Agnes; son Allan and wife Kathy; granddaughter Karaleen; grandson Bill; brothers, Paul (Albina) of Winnipeg, Phillip (Nettie) of Brantford, Ont.; sisters, Nellie (John) Kohut of Winnipeg, Olga Nordal of Thunder Bay; sisters-in-law, Ann Baryski of Winnipeg and Ann Baryski of Alberta; many nieces and nephews, and dear friend and dancing partner Kathy. Dad was born March 7, 1915 in Kreuzburg (Fraserwood), Manitoba. His early years were spent on the farm and working in lumber camps in Ontario. He started working at Drewrys Breweries (Carling O Keefe) retiring in 1980 after 33 years of service. Dad enjoyed gardening, traveling, music. He loved to spend his Saturday afternoons at #141 Legion - DANCING. The family wished to express thanks to Dr. T. Babick and the staff at the Concordia Hospital for their kindness and care, his "girls" health care workers, Jenny, Barb, Betty and Denise, and special thanks to friends, Kathy, Beryl and niece Evelyn for their visits to the hospital to sit with dad. Also our thanks go out to dads friend and neighbour Leon Frobisher for always being there for him. Prayers will take place on Monday, November 1 at 7:00 p.m. in the chapel of Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St. Funeral service will take place on Tuesday, November 2 at 10:00 a.m. also in the chapel. Service will terminate in the chapel with a gathering of family and friends to follow in Glen Eden Reception Centre. Children hardly know or guess the love their fathers cant express With thoughts he seldom said aloud, his heart is warm, his feelings proud They do not fully understand his wisdom and his guiding hand, They do know each helpful word holds love unspoken, hope unheard. Yet as the busy years roll past, they come to understand at last The worries and the fears he knew the problem times he pulled them through, They finally learn the full extent of what a fathers love has meant and realize how great its been To have a father just like him.
