DONNA LYNNE MACKAY (nee BRERETON) Suddenly after a brief illness in the early morning on Wednesday, October 27, 1999 at the Grace General Hospital, Donna, age 53 years of Winnipeg, Manitoba, beloved mother of Deanna (Orest) and Darryl. Donna was born on December 25, 1945 in Winnipeg, Manitoba. She has been employed with Manitoba Public Insurance Corporation in Winnipeg for many years until her demise. Donna was a strong and active force in Heritage Victoria Club, where she formed many strong and lasting friendships. Working and being actively involved in the Heritage Victoria Club for 20 years was her passion. Remaining to forever cherish Donnas memory, besides her loving children Deanna (Orest) and Darryl; are her parents Claude and Evelyn Brereton of Ottawa, Ontario; brother Douglas (Maggie) Brereton and their children, Lindsey, Christine and Shannon of Winnipeg; sister Lois Ballinger (Lon) and their children, Kaelin, Rachel and Tommy of Mount Kisco, New York and Orests parents, Tony and Rita Giancola of Winnipeg, as well as numerous friends. Funeral service for Donna was held on Friday, October 29 at 2:00 p.m. in the Deer Lodge United Church, 2093 Portage Avenue at Belvidere Street. Donations in Donnas memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Manitoba Division, 193 Sherbrook Street, Winnipeg, MB, R3C 2B7.
