BERT COUCH Mary Jeanette Gilberta (Bert) Couch born on April 11, 1912 in Swan Lake, Manitoba, passed away suddenly after a very short illness, on October 28, 1999 at Concordia Hospital. Present were close friends, Jack and Laura Reay; niece Lynne Miller; nephew Jack Haller and his wife Dorothy. Predeceased by brother Lawrence (Larry) Couch of Dauphin and sister Helen Haller of Winnipeg. Bert was a long time employee of Manitoba Telephone System and retired as supervisor of telephone operators. Lovingly remembered by close friends, Jack and Laura Reay; niece Lynne Miller, husband Larry and family; nephew Jack Haller, wife Dorothy and family; nephew Gil, wife Roxanne and family; niece Gilberta (Birdie) Archer, husband Ken and family and by her friends. Service will be held on Wednesday, November 3 at 3:30 p.m. in the chapel of Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St. Interment Garden of the Old Rugged Cross, Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. A gathering of family and friends will follow at Glen Eden Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 301 - 352 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB, R3B 2H8.
