Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryBRIAN (GOODIE) (JIM) THORSTEIN GUDMUNDSON 1945 - 1999 Suddenly on Thursday, October 28, 1999, Brian Thorstein Gudmundson passed away at the Victoria Hospital. Brian will be lovingly remembered by wife Barbie; children, Pamela, Bradley (Krista), and Cory and Papa to Samantha, Gia, Jade and Nicholas and his mother Leanne Mogg mother Doris; sister Sandy (friend Wendy) brothers, Wayne and Mark, parents-in-law Ann and Bob Peggie; sister-in-law Joanne (Ron) and his Raggy Muffins, Willie and Melody (fiance Torre White) as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and many very special friends. Brian was predeceased by his father, Stoney. Brian was employed with NAV Canada formerly DOT as an air traffic controller for over 30 years until his retirement. Brian was active in the Shell Cup down hill ski jumping in Thunder Bay, Ont, and the RCAF Dana, Sask. baseball team. He played baseball with Transport Canada team, and curled with HMCS Chippawa and the LaSalle Curling Clubs. He was an avid outdoorsmen, enjoying fishing, hunting, and golfing. Brian especially enjoyed time with family and friends at Blindfold Lake, and Palm Springs, California, and fishing with his grandchildren. He loved his naps and fun times with his buddy Sylvester. Memorial service will be held on Tuesday, November 2, 10:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. with Rev. Christine Bridgett officiating. A gathering of family and friends will be held in the Chapel Lawn Reception Centre. Special thanks to Dr. Sheila Peters, nurse Laurie, Chaplain Ron Long, and staff of Victoria Hospital Emergency Dept. and Rev. Dr. Patrick Morand . Also a very special thanks to Art and Monele Schrot, and Cherry and Morgan Williamson for all their love and help.
