Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDONALD BRUCE CLARK Peacefully on Friday, October 29, 1999 after a prolonged illness, Donald Bruce Clark passed away at the age of 76 years at Seven Oaks Hospital to be with the Lord. He was predeceased by his mother Matilda; father Charles; and his brothers, Charles, John and James of Keewatin, Ont. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 33 years, Mary; sister Isabel (Don) Amos of Winnipeg and brother William of New Brunswick. He was also survived by his brothers- and sisters-in-law, Harry (Eleanor), James (Gwen), Thomas (Mildred) Silvester, Arlene, Alma and Jackie Clark and numerous nieces and nephews. He will especially be remembered to his dear, loyal friends, Allan Donald and Gerald Dybish. Don was born in Keewatin, Ontario on June 30, 1923. He joined the navy in 1940, reaching the rank of P.O. After the war he started his employment with the C.N. Express in Montreal and transferred to Winnipeg in 1952, where he worked for 36 years until early retirement in 1980. He really enjoyed his retirement going south to Texas and to cottage in Belair for the summers for 18 years. He made friends very easily. He was a very caring person and was always there for anybody. He really enjoyed company, building and puttering around with his hands. Special thanks to the nurses at Seven Oaks Hospital for their compassion and kindness during Dons stay. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Tuesday, November 2 at 12:30 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. Interment and reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Manitoba Lung Association, 629 McDermot Ave., or the charity of your choice.
