EDWARD MARKS Peacefully at his residence, on October 31, 1999 Edward Marks, aged 92 years of Arnes, Manitoba, beloved husband of Marjorie Marks. Ed was predeceased by his parents, three brothers and a sister. He leaves to mourn his loving wife of 68 years, Marjorie; his sons and daughter, Boys (Lillian), Kennedy (Angela), Lyndal (Marie), Judith Stadnichuk (Stanley, deceased) and Percy (RoseMarie) grandchildren Kimberley, Kathy, Randy (Darlene), Trevor (Darcy), Eddie (Carrie), Oliver (Katherine), Stewart (Connie), Adam (Teresa), Jarrod (Isabel), Tracy (deceased), Elizabeth (Jim), Charles, Mackenzie, Norma Cone (Mike) and Lorna (deceased) 29 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Ed was born in Niverville at the home place on September 16, 1907. He married Marjorie Harrison on August 6, 1931. Ed was a Watkins dealer for three years, then they took over the Marks farm in Niverville. In 1953 they moved to Arnes with their family and farmed there until Eds retirement in 1974, and they continued to live on the farm. In earlier years, Ed was involved in many community activities and was an excellent jack of all trades. After moving to Arnes, he continued his involvement with the community and the Arnes Lutheran Church. A Service of Remembrance will be held on Friday, November 5 at 2:00 p.m. in the Gimli Lutheran Church with Pastor George Johnson officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Arnes Cemetery or a charity of ones choice. Gilbart Funeral Home, Gimli in care of arrangements.
