MAJOR JACKALIN ANN BALDWIN (nee SMITH) It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Major Jackalin Ann Baldwin on Friday, October 29, 1999 at the age of 48 years. Remaining to forever cherish Jackies memory are her husband Bruce; daughter Allison; son Daniel; mother Vi Smith; two sisters, Louise Lake (Maurice) and Leslie Woods of Regina; one brother Wesley Smith (Gail) of Calgary; eight nieces and nephews; three great-nieces and nephews; as well as numerous friends. She was predeceased by her sister Veronica in 1975. Jackie was born on March 1, 1951 in Victoria, BC and raised and educated in Regina, Saskatchewan. She participated in the Armed Forces Reserves. After acquiring a University Degree, Jackie joined the Armed Forces on a full time basis in 1977. She was intensely devoted to both her family and career. Her admirable work ethic, compassion for others and outstanding capabilities were evident in all aspects of her life to all that knew her. On Monday, November 1 viewing was held in the Wojciks Funeral Chapel, 2157 Portage Ave. at Sharp Boulevard. Jackalins Funeral Service will be held (today) Tuesday, November 2 at 11:00 a.m. in the 17 Wing Community Chapel North, 2235 Silver Ave. at Whytewold Road with Captain Rev. Paul Gaudet officiating. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made in Jackalins memory to the Canadian Cancer Society (Manitoba Division), 193 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 2B7 or to a charity of your choice.
