Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHERMAN DRAJESKE Herman Drajeske passed away peacefully at the Emerson Hospital on Sunday, October 31, 1999 at the age of 94 years. Herman is survived by one sister Erna Kreitz of Portage, MI. He also leaves 12 nieces and seven nephews; as well as numerous great nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Gustav and Telene Drajeske; sisters, Augusta, Emma Lange, and Pauline Pappel, brothers, Gustave Jr., Frank, Emil, and Henry; and by four nieces. Herman was born October 12, 1905 in Friedensthal, MB. As a young man he worked in the U.S.A. for a short time, and later in Ontario. When he returned to the Emerson district he worked and farmed in the Friedensthal area, until his retirement in 1970. Hermans hobbies included curling and travelling. He also sang in the church choir, and enjoyed cooking breakfast at the Morris Stampede. He was a private man, enjoying visiting with friends, and spending time with his family was very special to Herman. When his health began to fail, he moved to Southgate Haven in 1993. The family wishes to thank all those who helped Herman while he was in Southgate. Also, a big thank you to the nurses and staff at Emerson Hospital for their loving care and sincere compassion. The funeral service will be held in the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Emerson on Thursday, November 4 at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Lesley Calder officiating. Viewing will take place at the church prior to the service. The funeral will terminate at the church with interment of cremated remains to take place at a later date. If friends so desire, donations in Hermans memory may be made to either the Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Box 419, Emerson, MB R0A 0L0, or the Emerson Hospital, Box 428, Emerson, MB R0A 0L0.
