MABEL MORROW Peacefully on Monday, November 1, 1999 at Central Park Lodge, Mabel Morrow passed away at the age of 105. Mabel Morrow, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Morrow, pioneer settlers of La Riviere, MB. Mabel devoted her life to teaching, serving in several rural areas before joining the staff of the St. James School Division. She taught in Bannatyne, Assiniboine and Linwood schools. She was a member of Fort Garry United Church where for several years she assisted in the Christian Education Department. Mabel was an active member of Niakwa Country Club until after her 90th birthday, at which time the board granted her a Clubhouse Emeritus Membership where she could meet and enjoy her friends. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, November 4 at 2:00 p.m.in the Pilot Mound United Church, 148 Moffat Ave., Pilot Mound. Interment will take place in Greenwood Cemetery.
