I worked with Gene at the International Inn in Winnipeg. Gene was a wonderful person, and great to work with. He was one of my employees and also a good friend. As we all age we think of those that have gone to Heaven before us. The reality hits us that we will all meet our God one day. Gene was a true person with a good heart. I heard of his passing a few years ago, I hit me hard, as Gene was there for me when times got tough on the job. He would always support me in my challenges throughout the day, which made him not only a very reliable employee but also a good Friend. You are just one of the staff of the International Inn team that I have lost to illness. May you rest in peace.
