HELEN WIEBE Peacefully on November 2, 1999 at the Carman Memorial Hospital with her daughters June and Joan at her side, Helen passed away. Helen was predeceased by her husband Abe; brothers, Con and John; sisters, Annie, Elma and Tina. Helen is survived by her daughters, June (Norm) and Joan (Maurice) who were the love of her life; grandchildren, Tamera (Blake) Shane and Dean and great-grandchildren, Regan and Matthew. Also surviving are her brothers, Ed (Anne) and Dave (Eva). Helen was born on August 25, 1918 in Plum Coulee to Cornelius and Anna Friesen. She came to the city at a very young age and worked as a homemaker for a prominent Winnipeg doctor. Helen and Abe were married in 1939 and homesteaded in Plum Coulee, Morris and Carman. Helens family was her life and she took great pride and delight in her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Helen always volunteered and supported in her own quiet way, the various events and organization in Carman. She loved to plant flowers, bake and do crafts. Helen was also a staunch supporter of baseball (especially the Blue Jays) and curling. Special thanks to all of you who were so kind and supportive to us at this very difficult time. A celebration of Helens life will be held on Saturday, November 6 at 2:00 p.m. at the Carman Mennonite Church in Carman, MB. Interment to follow at the Greenwood Cemetery, Carman. Pallbearers will be Dean Bibeau, Shane Penner, Blake Bell, Ken Friesen, Brian Wiebe and Billy McEachern. If friends so desire, donations in Helens name may be made to a charity of your choice. Mom, (our friend) Your long hard battle ends but your peace and happiness begins. Give Dad a big hug from us, and with watchful eyes help guide our families. Always in our hearts and will never be forgotten, Love you forever. Your daughters June and Joan. Doyles of Carman in care of arrangements. (745-2045)
