Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryBRUNO ERNST KUHL January 26, 1931 - November 1, 1999 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Bruno Kuhl after a brief but courageous battle with cancer. Left with treasured memories are his loving wife Irene and his devoted family, Sharon Wiggett, Ross (Carol) Wiggett and grandsons, Riley and Jeffrey, his favourite little fishing buddies; Richard Dean (Kim) Kuhl and granddaughter Courtney Jane; Dale (Karen) Kuhl, Elizabeth (Brian) Christie and grandson Shawn; Rick Schmidt, as well as numerous brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and many very close friends, especially Les & Dorothy Loewen. Born in Germany, he came to Canada in 1951 and began his career in the culinary field, attaining the distinction of becoming a Master Executive Chef. Bruno was a founding member of the Chefs de Cuisine of Manitoba and was awarded Chef of the Year in 1980. His expertise in food preparation, especially roast beef, has been enjoyed by the many patrons of the Morris Hotel, Charter House Hotel, Ramada Inn, Brunos Famous Foods at the Pembina Hotel and the Granite Curling Club. Bruno was always willing to share his knowledge and his recipes with family and friends. Following his retirement in 1996, Bruno and Irene moved to their new home in Lac du Bonnet which they loved so much, enjoying gardening and fishing on the Lee River. Cremation has already taken place and a Memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 6 at 2:00 P.M. at Klassen Funeral Chapel, 1897 Henderson Highway. Our family would like to thank all staff at the Victoria General Hospital for their care and compassion over the last few weeks. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in Brunos memory may be made to Childrens Hospital Foundation, CE 501-840 Sherbrook Street, Winnipeg, R3A 1S1. Fishermans Prayer God grant that I may live To fish until my dying day, And when it comes to my last cast I then most humbly pray, When in the Lords safe landing net I am peacefully asleep, That in his mercy I be judged As big enough to keep. Arrangements entrusted to Klassen Funeral Chapel, 338-0331.
