Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryKENNETH WAYNE BACHYNSKI 1946 - 1999 Kenneth Wayne Bachynski passed away peacefully with his wife by his side on November 4, 1999 after a brief but courageous battle with cancer. He was 53 years of age. Ken is survived by his wife Catherine; his children, Cindy (Matthew), Christopher and Karen; his brothers, John and his wife Rolande, Bernie and his wife Tracie, and his sister Shirley (David) and by a large extended family and many friends. Ken was a lifelong resident of Fort Garry. He worked for 30 years at Pauwels Canada Inc., formerly Pioneer Electric Company, latterly as a Quality Control Technician. He was an avid fisherman, and spent most summer weekends somewhere on a river or lake fishing. He wrote articles on the subject for various publications and participated in many a fishing derby and other fishing competitions. He also donated his time for childrens charities. The family would like to thank all the doctors, nurses and other health care professional and support staff working on the 5th floor of the Victoria General Hospital for the compassionate and competent care they gave Ken. A memorial service will be held at Leatherdale Gardiner Funeral Chapel, 1501 Waverley St., Fort Garry at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 8 with the Rev. Charles F.M. Walter officiating. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations in Kens memory be made to the Manitoba Cancer Research Foundation, 100 Olivia St., R3E 0V9 or to the Variety Club of Manitoba, 116 Wellington Crescent, R3M 0A2 or to a charity of your choice.
